LCD continues to build the medical-legal partnership (MLP) model in Philadelphia and across the country.
On March 10th, LCD, along with our healthcare partner, the Family Practice and Counseling Network, the National Nursing Centers Consortium, and Ellen Lawton of the National Center for Medical-Legal Partnership, led a workshop for nursing leaders from Akron, OH, and Nashville, TN.
LCD is proud to be partnering with Project HOME to bring a medical-legal partnership to the new Stephen Klein Wellness Center in North Philadelphia. LCD staff attorneys Tom Bednar and Theresa Brabson, who will be onsite to provide legal services to patients, gathered last Monday with health center staff to mark the grand opening of the center. LCD attorneys and their healthcare partners from the The Family Practice and Counseling Network presented a panel on medical-legal partnership at the annual conference of the National Nursing Centers Consortium in Alexandria, VA. The panel, which explored the integration of legal services into a primary care setting, was moderated by Ellen Lawton of the National Center for Medical-Legal Partnership.
